식품 CODEX 기준 조회하는 법

식품 CODEX 기준 조회하는 법

전기쪽의 국제기준, 국제표준으로 IEC가 있다면 식품에는 CODEX가 있다.
세계보건기구(WHO)와 식량 및 농업기구(FAO)에 의해 공동으로 설립된 Codex Alimentarius은 국제적으로 조화될 수 있는 식품 안전 및 품질기준, 표준, 가이드라인 등을 제정하는 것에 그 목적을 하고 있다.

아마 식품쪽 기준을 처음 접하는 사람들이 혼란스러워 하는게… 식품은 식품원료(농축수산물), 식품첨가물, 가공식품(최종제품)에 대한 기준이 별도로 존재하며 각각 기준을 따라야 한다는 점이다.
(전기쪽 IEC는 최종 제품의 안전성과 성능만 확보되면 세부 설계 및 내용은 디테일하게 관리하지 않는다.)

우리나라의 기준(식품의 기준 및 규격 등)은 기본적으로 CODEX의 기준을 기준으로, 우리나라 사람들의 섭취 및 노출량(노출특성)을 고려해서 다시 정한 것이라고 보면 되겠다.
이에 CODEX나 FDA에서는 제한적으로 사용 가능한 물질로 등재되어 있으나 우리나라에는 사용이 불가능한 물질로 등록되어 있는 경우가 간혹 있다.(예시: 알루미늄 베이스의 식품첨가물)

일단 CODEX 식품첨가물 기준을 검색하는 방법에 대해 소개하자면…

이게 굉장히 요긴한데 가끔 찾을려고 하면 링크가 잘 안보인다.(왜냐하면 CODEX 홈페이지가 아닌 FAO에 관련 조회가 존재한다). 이에 아래 링크를 참조하면 된다.

FAO 사이트가 영 옛날 스타일(90년대)인지라.. 잘 검색이 안된다. 이에 아래쪽에 검색이 가능한 별도 테이블을 만들어 두었으니 검색해 보시라.
